I had a disappointing experience at the Argos in Sainsbury’s. I purchased a small smart TV three months ago, and it stopped working as expected. I had a clear photo of my receipt, which I presented as proof of purchase. The manager Ket, along with other staff, refused to accept it and insisted I had to have a physical copy. Frustratingly, when I visited another Argos branch, they processed the warranty claim with no hassle at all. It’s clear the staff at this location are disregarding proper procedures. I hope Argos takes this seriously and trains their staff to follow legal rights of the consumer

Do not buy games here ive had 2 games from here on switch and they scratch the front of the case so you can't return it, great idea but now ive got a game thats lost its value because the case has a big mark in the front of it.

The absolute worst customer service with zero knowledge of tech. I tried to return an ethernet cable here as the performance was incredibly unstable (i.e. faulty) and was told that because it still 'technically works' this is just a change of mind and I couldn't return it. When trying to explain why it should be considered faulty, I was met with snarky and argumentative rebuttals trying to say I was changing my story. When I asked how I can escalate this to management, I was told I can't because they'll tell me the same thing and I'm not allowed to know when the store manager is next in. When I asked if there was a government organisation I can contact about consumer rights, I was told to contact the Argos support line who would be able to give me that information (they couldn't).
