I attended the practice last night after a 111 referral. As an already nervous dental patient, I was worried after reading reviews however, I needn’t have been. The dentist was very kind, thorough, understanding and gave me a plan to move forward with. The dental nurse and receptionist were also friendly. Hopefully this will put someone’s mind at rest if they are worried.

Had a great experience with Dr. J. He did my treatment very well and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. He is highly professional, knowledgeable, and very gentle. Dr. J explained everything clearly and took the time to make sure I was satisfied and relaxed. The clinic atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and the staff was also very friendly. I am extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Dr. J to anyone looking for an excellent dentist.

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SURGERY — REFUSE ALL 111 APPOINTMENTS, YOU WILL HAVE A HEADACHE AFTER, TRYING TO SEE ANOTHER SURGERY THROUGH 111. JUST PLAIN REFUSE !!!! I was referred by NHS 111 to this dental service as an emergency on 1 January 2026, and previously around 2019. On both occasions, the service was utterly atrocious. I am appalled that a patient could be left in such extreme pain and treated with such disregard. Frankly, an animal would not have been treated this way. I presented with severe pain in two teeth, both of which were heavily infected. After taking an X-ray, the dentist did absolutely nothing other than prescribe antibiotics and painkillers (opioids), fully aware that this would not resolve the issue. He falsely claimed that the nerves had already been removed — a blatant lie later confirmed by another dentist, who found the nerves were fully exposed, which was the direct cause of the pain. This appears to have been nothing more than an excuse to avoid doing any actual dental work. As a result, I remained in unbearable pain after the appointment. I was forced to take excessive amounts of painkillers just to survive the night, putting my own safety at risk. The following morning, still in excruciating pain, I had to call 111 again and fight for a second opinion. I was referred to another surgery, where the dentist immediately identified the exposed nerves, cleaned the infection, and dressed the tooth with antibiotics — which instantly relieved the pain. This was the correct and obvious treatment that should have been carried out in the first place. My experience in 2019, again via 111, was no better. On that occasion, the dentist simply injected anaesthetic and told me to go home and sleep until I could see my regular dentist. This level of negligence is shocking. I will be making a formal complaint to the NHS to have this service fully investigated. I was placed in a position where I could have seriously harmed or even killed myself through painkiller overdose simply to cope with the pain. I genuinely cannot understand how anyone at this surgery holds a dental licence, or how such basic, fundamental care can be handled so incompetently. This is a simple and well-known procedure. Quite honestly, even ChatGPT could tell you what needed to be done to relieve this level of pain.
