I'm an NHS patient here at Roe Street Dental. I went here on Friday 12 December for my 6-monthly checkup. That morning I had lost a piece of of my lower right pre-molar. After checking my other teeth for cavities (none found!) my dentist reviewed thoroughly my main options to repair the damaged pre-molar and a broken crown adjacent to it, plus an adjoining bottom front tooth that was compromised and not stable enough to crown. All options were fully costed as NHS Band 3 procedures with alternative private practice solutions. We viewed the x-ray images of the area to see why some options were non-starters, and I left with a clear action plan to be reviewed at the next check-up in June 2026. All in all a very productive discussion worth the charge for a check-up. The Receptionist was very efficient: all forms for consent, medical records and payments for treatment are digital on an iPad that the patient is given to sign in, check prescription history and pay for treatment, all digitally signed. You get emails confirming all upcoming appointments, reminders just before the appointment and a phone call the day before to check if you remembered the date & time of next day's appointment too. The sole reason I can't give 5 stars is that the online appointment booking option needs fixing: it shows that there are no appointments available to be pre-booked - it's much quicker and easier to call Reception for availability. But all in all a very efficient team, whose Dentists will patiently and expertly discuss your treatments with x-ray images where needed to simplify the explanation.

I was seen by Abid on friday 5th December. He was very professional. He advised me that I didnt need any treatment doing today. He was honest with me and you dont get many like that these days. The staff at roe street are all lovely and make you feel at ease. Girls on the Reception were very friendly too. Great surgery and staff

I have been using this dental practice since I was a child. When I moved back to macclesfield after living in Yorkshire 11 years I was pleased I could get re-registered with the surgery again. The reception staff have always bern very polite and though the reception area is small, it always looks clean. I do have issues now gaining access to the surgery because of the steep steps up to it from the pavement. The railings either side are very little help and there is nothing at the top step to help you up. This probably doesn't bother everybody but someone like myself who has mobility issues and uses a walking stick at times this is a real struggle. I have noticed other patients struggle to get up and down the steps so I know it isn't just me. All the dentists are up the stairs which are steep and narrow with only the single hand rail on the right hand side going up. There is a grab rail at the top however. The toilets are at the top of the stairs and there are 2 steps down to them. I am seriously thinking of finding a dental practice which is more accessible. It has no reflection on the staff whatsoever as they have always been very professional and friendly
