A year and a half after finishing my treatment, I had a follow-up review today. As always, I felt incredibly relaxed and safe in Dr. Patel’s hands—to the point that I mentioned I’ve actually missed our regular visits! Dr. Patel checked my bite, gums, and fixed retainer, providing excellent advice on how to maintain my results. Even though my case was particularly difficult and challenging, Dr. Patel’s work was exceptional. I am still extremely happy with the outcome!

I have been visiting Mr. Patel for nearly 30 years and I truly cannot imagine going to anyone else for my orthodontic care. He has maintained my fixed retainer for decades and throughout all this time he has remained incredibly kind, calm and genuinely passionate about his work. I still remember how excited I was when my fixed braces were first removed, I didn’t stop smiling for weeks! That joy and confidence were all thanks to Mr. Patel’s skill and care. I cannot recommend Mr. Patel highly enough. It has been an absolute pleasure being his patient and I hope he never retires because he is simply the best.

I highly recommend Dr. Patel and First Ortho. At my appointment today, Dr Patel was excellent at emphasising gum health, which isn’t always the focus with other dentists. He gave me fantastic, personalised advice on maintaining healthy gums and even provided tools (like interdental brushes and a soft toothbrush) to make it easier at home. What really stood out was that he personally handled a thorough cleaning during my visit, which made a huge difference in keeping everything clean and healthy. Great experience as usual and would not go anywhere else for my orthodontic treatment!

I thought about getting Invisalign for quite a while but was unsure, then my dentist recommended Mr Patel to me. I went for my first consultation and he really took the time to establish what I wanted, and the best approach. I ended up getting braces (clear / porcelain upper and steel lower) which I never thought I would do, but it was fantastic. Mr Patel is extremely caring and passionate about his work and my views were always listened to. I had a great journey and it was exciting to see the changes. I have now had my braces off for three months, and feel so much more confident generally, and when pictures are taken. I would highly recommend Mr Patel to anyone and am so glad I did this!

Although I wasn't seen at First Ortho for orthodontic issues, Dr Patel offered to see me for issues I'd had with grinding my teeth at night. I had wear patterns on the front teeth due to the mentioned grinding, and he recommended an SCI to alleviate the issue. At the appointment, Dr Patel assessed my gum health and gave me a full oral health check, as he had not seen me as a patient before. This level of care was unparalleled to any medical appointment I'd had previously. I have always had very healthy teeth, never needing fillings or any restorative work in the past. Before we had even touched on the teeth grinding, Dr Patel had located problem areas in my mouth. Using a pick, he had found areas where my gum health needed improvement. As someone who has always held their oral health as a priority, this was incredibly valuable information, and information I had never even considered before this visit. Impressions were taken of my teeth to create a retainer which could help with my grinding. I am happy to say that since recieving this retainer - I have been told my night time clenching has been basically fixed. I would regularly be woken up by my girlfriend asking if I was ok due to the audible grinding and clenching. Dr Patel not only helped fix this issue but also allowed her a good nights sleep! My experience with Dr Patel, and his nurses, was not just an appointment but a lesson in things I didnt even realise I needed a lesson in. He saw me for jaw clenching and I learnt exactly where in my mouth I needed to look after, exactly how to check for any serious oral health issues and overall an absolutely pleasant experience in the dentist chair My dental hygienist, Dr Timothy Fry, speaks very highly of Dr Patel. And with his expert hygiene knowledge, and now Dr Patel's expertise of my issue with night time clenching - I know for a fact that my oral health is in incredibly knowledgeable and trustworthy hands.
