I had an excellent experience at Bupa Dental Care Hornchurch. Dr Mariam was outstanding from start to finish. Her attention to detail was clear throughout the appointment, and she took the time to explain every issue in a way that was thorough, calm and easy to understand. Nothing felt rushed, and I felt fully informed before any decisions were made. It is rare to find a clinician who combines technical precision with such clear communication. I left feeling confident, reassured and very well looked after. Highly recommended.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Bupa Dental Care Hornchurch, particularly because I hold Bupa dental insurance and was treated at a Bupa clinic. In November 2025, I received a treatment plan that included a new patient exam (£90.90) and several X-rays, many of which were charged at £0.00 or at a very low cost. At that time, the pricing appeared reasonable. After a hygiene appointment carried out by the practice, I began experiencing increasing pain. By 12 January 2026, the pain had become severe, so I contacted the clinic and was asked to attend urgently. At that visit, I was charged: • Assessment and advice: £105.30 • Periapical X-ray: £23.40 • Glass ionomer filling: £169.63 Total: £298.33 My insurance covers £250, meaning I had to pay £48.33 out of pocket. What concerns me is the lack of pricing consistency and transparency. An “assessment and advice” appointment cost more than the full new patient exam in November, with no explanation. X-ray prices were also significantly higher. No effort was made to keep treatment within my insurance allowance, and no lower-cost alternatives were discussed, despite this being an urgent visit following post-treatment pain. This was not the first issue — in November, additional charges were almost applied and were only removed after I questioned them. Overall, my experience suggests that insured patients at Bupa clinics can still face regular charges beyond insurance limits. Based on this, I would not recommend this practice to anyone relying on Bupa dental insurance unless they are prepared for unexpected extra costs.

Dr. Mariam & Debbie has been so nice to me. I have a severe fear and anxiety about going to the dentist, but they made the whole experience much easier than I expected. Dr. Mariam is very skilled and confident in her work, which really shows. She explains things clearly and works gently, so I felt more at ease. Debbie is also friendly and attentive, always checking in to make sure I was okay. Overall, they’re great at what they do and made a stressful visit feel manageable.

Dr Anisa Khan is my favourite dentist ever!! I was first referred to her back in 2022 and her sheer care for patients means I asked to remain at the practice and not revert back to my old one. Over this time she has taken the time to get to know me as a patient, we often chat about general life and what’s been going on and I feel so comfortable in her care. She is super kind and gives genuine advice that never comes across as patronising or as a lecture. I dread the day that she decides to stop dentistry as it’s taken years to find someone this amazing! Thank you as always. The same goes for Jacqueline, we often chat about the music she has on as it’s usually instrumentals of great songs and serves as a great distraction whilst having a hygienist appointment. Again, she’s always made me feel so comfortable and I have never have any doubt about the level of care and treatment I’ll receive when I’m in Jacqueline’s hands. Her advice is always valuable and honest without being harsh and everything is explained clearly. Beyond that the reception staff are an anomaly to most who often make you feel like an inconvenience. These ladies are always so friendly, helpful and kind at one point I saw them so frequently but the attitude was never any different!

I had ICON whitening / white spot treatment with Dr Nosheen and I am honestly thrilled with the results. From the start, Dr Nosheen made me feel completely at ease, explained everything clearly and really understood what I wanted to achieve. The treatment itself was gentle and comfortable, and the improvement is incredible — my teeth look so much more even and natural. I feel genuinely more confident smiling now. An outstanding dentist and a wonderful experience from start to finish. I can’t recommend her enough!
