I've been terrified of Dentists since horrible childhood experiences and didn't know where to turn. Then a colleague recommended Dr Hothi of Central Dental as an excellent Dentist, and he was right. I'm glad to say that Dr Daya has carried on those great standards with the aim of keeping one's natural teeth as being the best long term solution.

I haven’t been to a dentist in over 20 years as I never found a good enough dentist due to my nerves. From the first meeting I’ve been very comfortable and finally getting my teeth sorted out now, very pleased with the service and treatments. Prices are upfront no hidden charges/pushy sales and my family and friends will be booking here from now on.

A few years back this dentist changed hands from someone who’d owned and worked in this practice for 30 years. A dentist who studied at an advanced level under him decided to take it and his clients on and I continued to come to the practice having been assured he had a similar level of not only expertise but a similar ethos of preserving teeth wherever possible. As someone with a lot of dental work in their mouth historically (blame the approach in the 70s and 80s!) this was an attractive proposition because like most of us I find going to the dentist quite a nerve wracking experience and I enjoy having a full set of teeth to eat with. He is friendly, calm, explains things clearly and is very good at what he does. He doesn’t suggest unnecessary work and when you have check ups he cleans your teeth as well. It’s a neighbourhood private practice - I’m lucky enough to be able to walk there - so the patient is the only one in there at a time. You pay a little more than an NHS dentist of course but for regular check ups, if you factor in a private hygienist visit as well at an NHS practice, the prices are a lot more similar. It’s a very calm environment too with an easy listening radio playing while you’re in the room - it helps me relax. The very good nurse is also the receptionist. At present I think he only works there part time as he still works in another practice. If you do need to drive here parking is free on the street on non rugby match days (hence the R sign in the parking zones) although they may allow you to park on the drive section (I suggest asking first).

Dr Daya and Fatemeh are amazing. I needed some serious work done, of which I'd been putting off for a very long time due to having some terrible experiences at previous dentists. Dr Daya is very furlough and explains everything, he didn't seem to mind my many questions and still remembered the worries I had from my 1st and 2nd appointment. Both are very kind and courteous, always smiling and work very well together. Will only go to Central Dental for anything dental related going forward.

From the first day of seeing Dr Fahim Daya it was a pleasure, and not many people say that about the dentist! Friendly, confident and talked through the process. Identified quickly some of the issues I have had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice at all. Hands down best dentist I've been to.
